The October meet for Raasay went very well with 9 members enjoying a relaxed, sunny day out. The views were clear all day and from the summit of Duncaan, we were able to watch the submarine, H.M.S. Astute being towed past Rona. One member was lucky enough to see two sea eagles from his vantage spot at lunchtime.
We took the coastal path back via Ostaig and arrived back at the new slipway at 4pm. The new pier has very good toilet facilities and waiting room. Several members made their way to the hotel, which is now the outdoor centre and enjoyed refreshments before boarding the 5pm Ferry home.
