Walk Report for Sunday 20th March 2011 by Peter Chilton
 Kylerhea Hills.

Six of us met at Kylerhea road end, Then on to the cattle grid, park on the bend.
Eight forty five, set off for the hill, Pathless navigation if anyone will.

Compasses drawn and a bearing set, Misty ahead but not raining yet.
Cloud forecast to lift but maybe 'breezy', At least the start of the walk is easy.

Turning wet now so waterproofs on, In the mist all visibilty gone.
Beinn na Greine reached, height six hundred and ten, Sit round the cairn and discuss options then.

The view escaped us, did we miss a treat? 'Breeze' now threatened to lift off our feet.
Head back we decided, down hill all the way, We'll capture those views some other day.

Back at the vehicles and not hardly noon, To head off home just seemed a bit soon.
So five of us headed to Ardnish shore, Try hit the tide right or get wet some more.

Sandwiches eaten, not to mention meat pie, 'Breeze' less damp now and we're almost dry.
Pabay so close there, and two lag behind, With incoming tide, we will have to mind.

Stroll through the rocks then the river is wide, 'Leg it' and gaiters keep the water outside.
One walks through slowly, her boots all a swill, Maybe next outing wear new ones she will.....

Ashaig beach is revealed at low tide, Golden sand, the expanse is so wide.
A surprise to some who oft wonder why, We like it so much, living here on SKYE.

To our local hill tops we will be back. The views from their summits they nothing lack.
Let's choose a day when the weather is fair, An extra club outing, I'll see you all there.
